That the Parliament recognises the appointment of Iain Mitchell as the Chairman of the Greener Grangemouth Programme Board (GGPB), known as the "Town Team"; notes that the ethos of the GGPB is to foster collaboration to champion sustainability and to help drive the regeneration of Grangemouth; further notes that the key objectives of the GGPB are to assess potential opportunities that align with the programme’s goals, developing business cases for approval by the Growth Deal Programme Board and the Scottish Government, collaborate with key partners, stakeholders and community representatives to foster shared ownership of projects and to identify and assist in addressing challenges, risks and barriers to the successful delivery of these shared aims; recognises the wealth of experience Iain Mitchell brings to his role as Chairman of the GGPB from his extensive knowledge of the logistics sector as the former managing director of local haulage firm, John Mitchell; congratulates Iain on his appointment as Chairman, and wishes him the best of luck as he steers the GGPB towards the delivery of its key aims in Grangemouth.
