That the Parliament congratulates Martin Stuart of Forth Valley First Responders on being named Community First Aid Champion in recognition of his critical voluntary work across the Falkirk district and wider Forth Valley region; understands that Forth Valley First Responders is a community service provided by volunteers who are trained to deal with a wide range of potentially life-threatening conditions and provide reassurance until an ambulance can arrive; further understands that Martin’s efforts have been instrumental in the placing and continued guardianship of 123 defibrillators across the area that are strategically positioned in a variety of locations; notes that these defibrillators were deployed and utilised 92 times over the previous year, highlighting what it sees as the vital role they play in the area with targeted placement and effective continued management providing a lifesaving opportunity during cardiac emergencies; congratulates Martin on being named Community First Aid Champion, and thanks him for the vital efforts that he has made to ensure that defibrillator provision is accessible to those in the Falkirk area and beyond, who are experiencing a medical emergency.
