1. UK subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered proposals by the Scottish Government to consent to the UK Government legislating in devolved competence by way of the following UK statutory instrument proposals—

Plant Protection Products (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2023

Official Controls (Establishment Lists) Regulations 2023 

Phytosanitary Conditions (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2023

The Committee agreed that the provisions set out in the notifications should be included in the UK SIs.

2. Regulatory alignment with EU law:

The Committee considered the first report on the EU law tracker and agreed to write to the Scottish Government seeking further information about the case studies highlighted in the Committee's remit.

3. Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Bill(In Private):

The Committee considered a draft Stage 1 report.
