That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the Macmillan CARE (Culture, Agency, Respect, Equity) Grants Programme, which is a pilot that will fund community-led projects that offer new insights and impact; understands that the grants will focus on the three key areas, cultural responsiveness and improving the sensitivity of cancer care to diverse cultural needs, shared decision-making that empowers people to understand and participate in their care choices, and dementia-friendly cancer care enhancing support for individuals living with both cancer and dementia; notes that the programme is open to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations across Scotland with an interest in addressing health inequities and delivering co-designed, community-led solutions; considers that such a programme will go a long way to improving the lives of patients, carers and loved ones, and wishes everyone involved every success.
