That the Parliament congratulates owner Elaine Sinclair on celebrating the first anniversary of Daydreams Bookshop in Milngavie; believes that the business has been a welcome addition to the Milngavie precinct with books and gifts for all ages; understands that the store, which has so far won a Business Newcomer award and National Book Tokens Best New Bookshop in the UK 2025 award, launched a bookshop podcast, The Unfinished Story, and hosted multiple author events, book signings and book launches for adults and children; acknowledges the 280 members in its Bonnie Wee Book Club, and the gifting of a book every month to local schools; appreciates the launch of a free young adult book club for teenagers in the area; commends its sold-out events for the authors, Ann Cleeves, Sally Magnusson and Julia Donaldson, along with it launching its first poetry lunch event with the Scottish poet, Len Pennie, later in September 2025; wishes the team every success, and looks forward to further community-based collaborations.
