  • Motion reference: S6M-18673

That the Parliament recognises the ongoing work of Montrose Community Trust; understands that over the last 13 years the Trust has moved beyond a focus on football to being a key local organisation committed to building a stronger and healthier community; recognises that the charity is providing life-affirming and supporting services by delivering over 30 programmes, including Breakfast in a Box, Soccer Saturday and the International Speaking Club; further recognises that the Trust’s three core strands of health, education and sport provide a platform for supporting over 4,500 people annually of all ages and abilities to address the impacts of social isolation, mental health issues and to adjust to changes brought on by dementia; understands that the Trust is now developing its work in response to climate change and employability issues, and will move all its work forward with the ambitious Gable End Project; commends and congratulates Montrose Community Trust for all its work since its foundation in 2012, and wishes all involved all the very best for the future.
