That the Parliament understands that Rosalin Ferns, a young resident of the East Renfrewshire village of Neilston and former pupil of Eastwood High School, will be spending a year teaching abroad; further understands that, after applying to Project Trust, which is a volunteering charity, Rosalin has taken the opportunity to travel to La Unión, which is a small village in the Lempira district of Honduras, to teach at a bilingual Christian school; notes that Rosalin will teach a variety of primary-aged year groups across a range of subjects, as well as run after-school and weekend activities; congratulates Rosalin, who graduated from Eastwood High in June 2025, for choosing to dedicate a year helping other young people to succeed in education; further congratulates Rosalin for what it sees as their evident history of helping others at Eastwood High, including as a wellbeing ambassador, who oversaw the Healthier Mind Peer Mentoring Programme, and as a language ambassador, who provided additional support for pupils learning Spanish; notes that, to raise funds for their travel, Rosalin is taking part in Project Trust’s Race Across the World, a campaign that helps volunteers raise the funds that they need for their volunteering project; further notes the Race Across the World Campaign requires Project Trust volunteers to collectively travel 3,500 miles, the distance from London to Ethiopia, and congratulates Rosalin for already raising the full amount of funds required for their summer of volunteering,
