That the Parliament warmly congratulates Euan Stewart, an 18-year-old from Auchtertool, on being awarded the Rotary Young Citizen of the Year award by the Rotary Club of Burntisland and Kinghorn; understands that Euan’s remarkable dedication to voluntary service includes his leadership role within Scouting, where he has advanced from Beavers to district youth lead, organising district-wide events and championing the voices of young people; recognises his commitment to wider community volunteering across Fife, notably with Growing Kirkcaldy, the local tavern revitalisation project, the Santa’s sleigh initiative, and support for Kirkcaldy Rugby Club; understands that Euan has combined these contributions with his role as former Head Boy at Balwearie High School and as a current student of History at the University of St Andrews; commends the Rotary Club of Burntisland and Kinghorn, which, since its charter in 1982, has actively promoted youth leadership, community engagement, and charitable giving through its registered Trust Fund, and believes that Euan’s achievements exemplify the enduring value of youth volunteering and civic participation, inspiring others across Scotland to lead positive change in their communities.
