That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Women’s Library, in Bridgeton, on being officially recognised as a Library of Sanctuary; notes that the announcement was made during Refugee Festival Scotland, which runs until 22 June 2025; understands that the award recognises the library’s long-standing commitment to being a "safe, inclusive and empowering" space for women from all walks of life, especially those who have lived experience of seeking sanctuary; further understands that Glasgow Women’s Library is one of only 30 Libraries of Sanctuary in the UK, and commends the staff and all those involved in ensuring that the library acts as a safe space for service users.
