That the Parliament welcomes Dolly Parton's Imagination Library’s partnership with Charleston Community Library in Dundee; notes that the partnership offers a book gifting service for local children from birth to age five; recognises that 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which has gifted over 250 million books to children worldwide; believes that providing access to books in early years can promote a lifelong love of reading and improve literacy rates; understands that the Dollywood Foundation UK team and Leisure & Culture Dundee are inviting other local charities, businesses, and organisations to join the partnership, and congratulates Councillor Lee Mills and library and information officer, Sarah Johnston, for successfully coordinating, managing, and promoting the project.
