That the Parliament commends the Ukrainian community in Wishaw for what it regards as their extraordinary contribution to the local area through the transformation of a once dreary pedestrian tunnel into a vibrant and inspiring mural; acknowledges that many of those involved in the project have been displaced by the ongoing war in Ukraine and have brought with them remarkable talent, creativity, and resilience; recognises that the mural features powerful symbols from both Ukrainian and Scottish cultures, including a unicorn, sunflowers, a dove of peace, and the national flags of both nations, representing unity, hope, and shared values; understands that the artwork has not only brightened the physical space, but has also uplifted community spirit, serving as a lasting symbol of friendship and solidarity between Scotland and Ukraine; praises the artists for their vision and skill, and encourages people from across the country to visit the site and reflect on the strength and beauty of cultural expression in the face of adversity.
