That the Parliament congratulates Ella Sharp, a talented student from Hillhead High School in Glasgow, for her remarkable achievement in showcasing her sustainable fashion design, The Joanie, at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025; recognises her innovative use of foil blankets and race numbers to create a striking couture piece that captivated audiences and highlighted the potential of repurposed materials in fashion; acknowledges the growing global movement towards eco-conscious fashion, exemplified by initiatives like Junk Kouture, which empowers young designers to reimagine waste as wearable art; understands the importance of supporting and celebrating the creativity and sustainability efforts of young individuals in shaping the future of the fashion industry; believes that Ella's participation in the Cannes Film Festival not only showcased her design skills but also underscored the vital role of youth in driving environmental awareness through artistic expression; considers that her accomplishment serves as an inspiration to fellow students and emerging designers, demonstrating that innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand in the world of fashion; extends its warm congratulations to Ella for her outstanding contribution to sustainable fashion, and wishes her continued success in her future endeavours.
