Dundee's Breaking the Chains Slavery Trail Resource

  • Submitted by: Maggie Chapman, North East Scotland, Scottish Green Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 22 April 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-17209

That the Parliament congratulates Dundee One World Centre on producing "Breaking the Changes: Making the Connections", which is an educational resource exploring the city’s past and present links to transatlantic slavery; understands that this resource was created to complement Dundee’s slavery trail; further understands that the resource uses the 28 points on the trail as inspiration for learning about local and global injustice issues, and that learners are supported to watch, listen, read and create as the resource illuminates the trail; thanks all involved in putting this trail together, and wishes the One World Centre well with this venture and its future activities.
