East Plean Primary School Recognised by Eco-Schools Programme

That the Parliament congratulates East Plean Primary School on receiving a commendation for its outstanding community work as part of the international Eco-Schools programme, delivered in Scotland by the environmental charity, Keep Scotland Beautiful; understands that this accolade reflects the school’s exceptional commitment to sustainability and environmental education, having gone above and beyond in meeting the programme’s rigorous criteria across all required topic areas; further understands that Eco-Schools, now celebrating its 30th anniversary, is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world, operated globally by the Foundation for Environmental Education, encouraging young people to take positive environmental action in their schools and communities; commends the staff, pupils and wider East Plean Primary School community for their dedication, enthusiasm and leadership in promoting environmental stewardship, and wishes them continued success in their efforts to inspire a greener, more sustainable future.
