To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update regarding how it helps to meet the needs of veterans with mental health problems and their families.
Answer
The needs of veterans with mental health problems and their families are met by NHSScotland working together with its partners in the statutory and third sectors to plan and provide fit for purpose services which meet the assessed needs of their populations.
The Scottish Government set out its commitment to veterans and their families in Renewing Our Commitments, 2016 which highlighted Scottish Government funding of 拢3.6 million over three years to 2018 in partnership with NHSScotland for the provision of specialist mental health services for veterans resident in Scotland at the Hollybush House Combat Stress facility in Ayr.
Many of the key themes and commitments in the Government鈥檚 new Mental Health Strategy will also impact positively on veterans and their families, including ensuring better access to joined up accessible services and improving the physical health of people with mental health problems.

To ask the Scottish Government when the reform of adults with incapacity legislation will take place, and who will be consulted.
Answer
Scottish Government officials are currently developing a series of proposals for reform of the Adults with Incapacity legislation based on the recommendations for change which arose from the Scottish Government's consultation on the Scottish Law Commission's report on Adults with Incapacity which was carried out last year. In May and June these proposals will be discussed informally with a wide range of stakeholders and service users. Following this further work will be done to refine the proposals before a full public consultation which will take place in the autumn of 2017.
