To ask the Scottish Government��how many patients have used the Minor Ailment Service provided by community pharmacists in each of the last three years, broken down by NHS board area.

The number of people who access the Minor Ailment Service (MAS) is not available centrally, however, the number of treatments provided can be found in the following table.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S4W-15756 by Nicola Sturgeon on 1 July 2013, whether it plans to revise its white paper on independence once final welfare proposals from the Expert Working Group on Welfare are received in 2014.

As I said in my previous answer, the White Paper will set out the gains for people, families and communities when decisions about Scotland are made in Scotland rather than by politicians at Westminster.

The White Paper will be fully informed by relevant work of the Expert Groups and Commissions. The role of the Expert Groups and Commissions is also to identify and explore longer term policy options that will be available to future governments of an independent Scotland. Publication of their conclusions in advance of the referendum will help inform the debate further and illustrate the longer term choices and opportunities that will be available to Scotland with independence but which are not open to us as part of the current constitutional arrangements.

To ask the Scottish Government,��further to the answer to question S4W-15749 by John Swinney on 5 July 2013, which notes that “a lower tax rate can reduce revenues”, whether it will quantify the expected reduction in revenues under its model.

As stated in the answer to S4W-15749, “whilst a lower tax rate can reduce revenues for a given level of profits, by stimulating economic activity, it can grow the tax base which can in turn lead to higher tax revenues. The potential economic benefits from the policy are significant, with the additional activity generated by cutting corporation tax estimated to create 27,000 jobs and boost GDP by 1.4% after 20 years.”
