The Official Report is a written record of public meetings of the Parliament and committees.
The Official Report search offers lots of different ways to find the information you’re looking for. The search is used as a professional tool by researchers and third-party organisations. It is also used by members of the public who may have less parliamentary awareness. This means it needs to provide the ability to run complex searches, and the ability to browse reports or perform a simple keyword search.
The web version of the Official Report has three different views:
Depending on the kind of search you want to do, one of these views will be the best option. The default view is to show the report for each meeting of Parliament or a committee. For a simple keyword search, the results will be shown by item of business.
When you choose to search by a particular MSP, the results returned will show each spoken contribution in Parliament or a committee, ordered by date with the most recent contributions first. This will usually return a lot of results, but you can refine your search by keyword, date and/or by meeting (committee or Chamber business).
We’ve chosen to display the entirety of each MSP’s contribution in the search results. This is intended to reduce the number of times that users need to click into an actual report to get the information that they’re looking for, but in some cases it can lead to very short contributions (“Yes.”) or very long ones (Ministerial statements, for example.) We’ll keep this under review and get feedback from users on whether this approach best meets their needs.
There are two types of keyword search:
If you select an MSP’s name from the dropdown menu, and add a phrase in quotation marks to the keyword field, then the search will return only examples of when the MSP said those exact words. You can further refine this search by adding a date range or selecting a particular committee or Meeting of the Parliament.
It’s also possible to run basic Boolean searches. For example:
There are two ways of searching by date.
You can either use the Start date and End date options to run a search across a particular date range. For example, you may know that a particular subject was discussed at some point in the last few weeks and choose a date range to reflect that.
Alternatively, you can use one of the pre-defined date ranges under “Select a time period”. These are:
If you search by an individual session, the list of 成人快手 and committees will automatically update to show only the 成人快手 and committees which were current during that session. For example, if you select Session 1 you will be show a list of 成人快手 and committees from Session 1.
If you add a custom date range which crosses more than one session of Parliament, the lists of 成人快手 and committees will update to show the information that was current at that time.

I guess that this question is for all of you, but I will go back to you first, Professor Smith. I stumbled across 鈥淛azz Nights鈥濃擨 am not usually awake in that dead zone on a Sunday night鈥攁nd I am glad that I did. Can we do more to promote that digital linear content through BBC Sounds? There is a lack of awareness of the three programmes that are up for cuts at the moment, which is a shame, because we are missing something if we do not know that those programmes exist.
Many of us are on a musical journey and we are trying to learn about new genres and wake ourselves up to new talent, but it is often difficult to find those programmes. They are not obvious鈥攕tumbling across them is not easy.

Yes, that is great鈥攖hank you.
I will go on to ask you about the BBC鈥檚 response. It has said that it has jazz programmes on Radio 2 and Radio 3, and that it can incorporate Scottish emerging talent into those programmes. I had a chance to look at the past month of output that is currently on BBC Sounds. I looked at all the track listings for the jazz programmes, but I did not see Fergus McCreadie, Georgia C茅cile or any Scottish artists in any of them. Is there something problematic about the formats of those programmes on Radio 2 and Radio 3 that makes it hard to reflect that ecosystem of Scottish talent that we have talked about?

Robbie Drummond, are there particular vulnerabilities in the west?

That is about climate adaptation. However, for climate mitigation, how can the vessels be designed to be net zero? You will have heard some of the evidence that we have just had from the Norwegians about how they are driving innovation through the tendering process to include electric and hydrogen propulsion systems in an attempt to bring down cost over time and to increase the supply chain. What are your thoughts on that? Where does the future lie, and how do we get there?

Would you therefore be looking more at ammonia bunker fuel than hydrogen and propulsion?

That is not propulsion, though.

My final question is about co-ordinating ferry timetabling with other modes of transport, particularly bus and rail, through ticketing, and how you co-ordinate action during service disruption. What work are you doing on that at the moment?

Yes鈥攁nd a brief comment.
I was a member of the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee, which considered the super-affirmative instrument, and I do not remember those concerns being raised then. Quite unexpected concerns have arisen, and it is good to hear that the minister has been engaging with religious organisations and others.
Have any other sectors raised concerns? Is it just churches and some third sector bodies that have particularly complex institutional structures that have raised concerns, or are any other sectors doing so?

How do Statens vegvesen and the municipalities involve communities at the outset with the development of ferry service specifications? What does that look like in practice? What engagement takes place with communities? How can they influence the specification of a ferry service?
