Good morning and welcome to the 24th meeting in 2025 of the Education, Children and Young People Committee.
Our first agenda item is a declaration of interests. I welcome Paul McLennan, who is replacing our colleague Joe FitzPatrick.?On behalf of the committee, I thank Mr FitzPatrick for his contribution to our work.
Because this is Mr McLennan鈥檚 first meeting as a committee member, I invite him to declare any relevant interests.
Thank you, convener. For a number of years, I was a member of the commission on school reform with Reform Scotland, which is now known as Enlighten, and I was a member of Reform Scotland鈥檚 advisory board. I was also a member of East Lothian Council from 2007 to 2022 and sat on various education committees. That is my declaration.
