1. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Town and Country Planning (Marine Fish Farming) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2025 (SSI 2025/draft) from—

Ivan McKee, Minister for Public Finance and Joseph Triscott, Aquaculture Development Policy Lead, Scottish Government.

Christine Grahame declared an interest as the Convener of a cross party group on animal welfare.


2. Subordinate legislation:

Ivan McKee, Minister for Public Finance moved—S6M-17363—That the Rural affairs and Islands Committee recommends that the Town and Country Planning (Marine Fish Farming) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2025 (SSI 2025/draft) be approved.

The motion was agreed to by division: For 7, Against 1, Abstentions 0.


3. Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
