1. Budget Scrutiny 2023-24:

The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to the Committee’s pre-budget scrutiny. The Committee agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans, Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on various issues arising from the Government’s response.

2. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument—

The Committee had no recommendations to make in relation to the instrument. However, it agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans on various issues arising from the instrument.

3. Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill (In Private):

The Committee considered a key issues paper.

4. National Care Service (Scotland) Bill (In Private):

The Committee considered a revised draft report to the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee. Various changes were agreed to, and the report was agreed for publication.
