4. Leases (Automatic Continuation etc.) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

David Bartos, former lead Commissioner and Rachel Rayner, Chief Executive, Scottish Law Commission;

and then from—

Steven Blane, Senior Associate, Pinsent Masons;

Kieran Buxton, Associate, Burges Salmon LLP;

Fergus Colquhoun, Member, Faculty of Advocates;

Carolyne Hair, Member of sub-committee on Property and Land Law Reform, Law Society of Scotland.


5. Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the delegated powers in this Bill at Stage 1 and agreed to write to the Scottish Government. 


6. Tertiary Education and Training (Funding and Governance) (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to points raised on the delegated powers in this Bill at Stage 1. It agreed to report to the lead committee on the Bill, the Education, Children and Young People Committee.


7. Tobacco and Vapes Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private):

The Committee considered the supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum on the Bill. It agreed to report to the lead committee on the Bill, the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee.


8. Leases (Automatic Continuation etc.) (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier in the meeting.
